Worthy Grand Knights,
The Annual District 6 Tootsie Roll Award Ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Council Hall, 6111 Columbian Way, Bowie, MD 21219. Each Council is requested to invite the organization(s) that they plan to award checks to. I will coordinating with the State Council to ensure that checks are received by each council in time to make their presentation. Members and families of each Council are invited to attend. Lite refreshments will be served after the award ceremony.
On the behalf of Father Michael C. Kidd Council, we will be making a Special Donation to the Special Ed Program at Kettering Middle School. This school is in the neighborhood of the new Father Michael Kidd Council. Each council is asked to make a donation of $25-$100 to this Special Education Program on the behalf of Fr. Kidd Council.

O great and glorious God, You imbued Your holy priest. Father Michael J. McGivney, with deep priestly virtue and especially with pastoral concern for the poor, the orphan, the widow, for the Christian education of youth, for the protection of the faith of the working man of his day.
Now that his priestly ministry continues to spread to countless millions throughout the world, through the efforts and influence of the Order of the Knights of Columbus, which Father McGivney founded, we beseech Your, Heavenly Father, to raise Your faithful servant, Michael, to the honors of the altar. We ask this favor through our Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother, Mary and our Mother, Amen.
